Your privacy
Bean & Gone is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website. We keep it to a minimum.
What this website collects
Nothing you don't give us. Browsing this site does not require an account, a form or any tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media trackers, and we do not set cookies on your device while you browse.
Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). Like every web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details for a short time to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare acts as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for any transfer outside the European Economic Area.
The map. The map on our Home and Contact pages is provided by Google Maps. It loads only after you press "Show map". When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. Pressing the button is your consent to that; if you'd rather not, use the "Open in Google Maps" link or the address instead.
If you contact us. When you email or phone us we use what you send us to reply to you, and keep it only as long as needed for that. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
Links to other sites. Instagram, Facebook, booking providers and other sites we link to have their own privacy policies. We only link; nothing from those sites loads here.
Cookies
Public pages set no cookies. The one cookie on this site is a strictly necessary session cookie used only on the staff editing page (/admin), after a member of staff logs in, to keep them logged in for up to seven days. It is not used for tracking and is exempt from consent under Regulation 5(5) of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@example.ie and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963, www.dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If we ever add anything that collects data, such as a booking form or a newsletter, we'll update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
Food information
Allergen information for everything we serve is available in writing at the counter and on request, as required by the Health (Provision of Food Allergen Information to Consumers in respect of Non-Prepacked Food) Regulations 2014. Prices shown on this website include VAT and may change; the menu at the counter is the current one.
